Blending Thrills with Digital Skills in Teen Literature
In exploring the secondary education terrain and during the creation of an innovative e-learning platform on digital citizenship, Casper Pieters discovered a noticeable lack of compelling, educational literature for young teens on this essential subject. Much of the existing material was overly alarmist and did not resonate well with its young audience.
Motivated by this gap, Casper crafted the engaging MG Bindi and Beam series and the young YA Team Savv-i series. These series are more than just riveting adventures—they cleverly incorporate crucial technological education—making them invaluable for sparking classroom discussions and enriching educational experiences. Designed to captivate and educate, Casper's books aim to equip young minds with the knowledge they need to navigate the digital world.
The Bookstore
‘Team Savv-i takes the 9 elements of digital citizenship and brings the reader on an action packed adventure full of mystery and suspense. The characters don’t just talk about digital citizenship, they do it! As a mother and son digital citizenship team, we agree that Team Savv-i reminds us all that we learn best by doing things together. The ultimate goal is to empower our students to be the same person both on and offline and this is the Team Savv-i message.’
